Modern Woodmen of America supports fundraiser for The Visual Bucket List Foundation

Modern Woodmen contributed $3,000 through its Matching Fund Program during the Dining in the Dark Visual Bucket List fundraiser. MANSFIELD — Modern Woodmen of America members in Mansfield recently helped raise money for Visual Bucket List Foundation with a special fundraising event on Saturday, Feb. 23. The event called “Dining In The Dark,” which took place at Westbrook Country Club, included a formal dinner, live entertainment, a silent auction, dancing & more! The fundraising event raised over $13,000 for the local non-profit. This includes $3,000 matched by Modern Woodmen of America through Modern Woodmen’s Matching Fund Program. The funds will be used to help several youths fulfill their “visual bucket list” dream … Something they will remember long after they have lost their sight to a debilitating disease. The Matching Fund Program offers Modern Woodmen members nationwide the chance to show their support for a community cause, organization or individual in need through fundraisers. These fundraising projects contribute more than $10 million to community needs across the country each year. “With The Visual Bucket List, every dollar truly counts,” said Lauren Brown, local Modern Woodmen Financial Representative & Chapter Activities Coordinator. “It’s exciting to be involved in something that is so impactful! I’m humbled to help with raising funds & awareness for The Visual Bucket List Foundation.” Coordinated by local Modern Woodmen members, the fraternal financial services organization’s Summit chapters, chapters and youth service clubs provide opportunities for members to take part in social and educational activities and volunteer projects to meet local needs.
